Students visiting from our sister city spent the afternoon experiencing Salinas firsthand, starting with a warm welcome from Mayor Dennis Donohue, followed by an afternoon at the California Rodeo Salinas grounds learning all about the Western way of life. Cultural exchange at its finest, right here in the Salad Bowl of the World! 🌎✨

Last Friday, the community came together at One Ma

Last Friday, the community came together at One Main St. for the Small Exhibition Opening of Alebrijes y Nahuales: Fantastic Animals from Mexico.

The exhibit features 30 miniature, hand-crafted alebrijes and nahuales created by traditional Oaxacan master artisans, bringing art, culture, and community together in Salinas.

It was great seeing so many people come out, smile, explore, and experience these incredible pieces. ❤️

One Main St. is hosting the Mini Exhibition Openin

One Main St. is hosting the Mini Exhibition Opening Ceremony for Alebrijes y Nahuales today, August 7th from 4:45 pm to 8:00pm. These are the same towering sculptures popping up around town, some standing almost 20 feet tall, each one hand-crafted by artists from Oaxaca and central Mexico.

Come see the craftsmanship up close and celebrate a month of art, culture, and community right here in Salinas.

This world-renowned exhibit is putting Salinas art and culture on the map in a big way. 8 sites will be on display throughout the city, including 2 inside Salinas Valley Health, one by the Starbucks and one in the waiting room.

The tall Alebrijes are lit up at night, so you can catch them whether you’re walking by or admiring from a distance.
